Secret to Developing a "Base Tan"
Develop a Base Tan by tanning frequently at a mild to moderate exposure level. We recommend tanning six times over a nine or ten-day period to responsibly develop a beautiful bronze base tan. Yes, it is OKAY to tan on consecutive days in our modern exposure-monitored salons. No individual session should result in excessive reddening.
Once a Base Tan is achieved, clients can reduce the frequency to 1 to 3 days per week, depending on their goals.
Secret to Avoiding Pale Areas
1) Alternate between stand-up and laydown beds. 2) Alternate between low-pressure and high-pressure equipment.
The ends of a tube-shaped low-pressure tanning bulb put out less UV than the middle. Using tanning beds with longer lamps and square high-pressure lamps solves this problem.
Tanning booths with extra-long lamps with a 5-inch riser also solve the problem. Alternate between stand-up booths and laydown tanning beds to even out skin exposure. Our Clifton and Hawthorne Tanning places have New Jersey's best selection of standup booths and the newest laydown beds.
Secret to a Long Lasting Tan
Be consistent. Find your frequency, keep that schedule to maintain your beautiful skin-protecting melanin. Typically, one will drop down to two to three tanning sessions per week. This will easily maintain a significant level of melanin using the quality tanning equipment you will find at Euro Tans and Spa
